Avocado DAO partners with MetaGods to journey into higher realms
Avocado is delighted to announce its partnership with MetaGods, a massively multiplayer online RPG on a mission toward the next generation of blockchain gaming action.
The project has garnered huge success with the release of the game’s land plots which successfully sold out in the private sale and then publicly to traditional and retail investors. Avocado has purchased a number of land plots in the MetaGods Metaverse, and we are super stoked about the future of this venture.
MetaGods boasts a roster of notable seed round investors which include globally known names such as YouTuber and influencer Mr. Beast, and Alex Becker as a key advisor. The list goes on to include crypto investor Joshua Abreara and several sizable web3 gaming guilds including Path DAO, PIF DAO, and of course Avocado DAO.
What is MetaGods?
MetaGods is an 8-bit, action RPG in which players battle the gods on their journey to ascension. Each NFT character is Generative art NFT created by the union of mortals, demigods, and titans which provides a combination of unique traits and features. They will join forces to fight as a team and vanquish epic bosses, while slowly fulfilling true godliness.
The game also comprises LAND NFTs, digital pieces of real estate that make up the entire game world. These LAND plots consist of 35 Dungeons of 10x10 plots that make up the entire MetaGods empire, with the smallest purchasable unit consisting of 1x1. There are a total of 3,500 plots of LAND in the ecosystem, 3,200 being released for sale, with the remaining amount held for special competitions and giveaways. LAND is a key feature of the game and ecosystem — The aim is to develop a community-run game in which landowners vote on boss attack actions, dungeon difficulty, loot drop rate and the overall design and direction of the game.
Users can purchase LAND with $MGOD or $BNB. Owning land brings valuable opportunities to receive additional tokens and win NFT loot during dungeon battles. This is super exciting for the MetaGods ecosystem as it represents yet another way for players to passively accrue tokens within the game. MetaGods Dual Token System
$MGOD — The main utility token
$MGOD will be used for governance, staking, and payments for marketplace transactions. The token enables holders to purchase adventure packs that contain unique characters, as well as equipment, weapons and consumables. It will also be utilized as an entry fee to participate in raids, tournaments, and other special events.
When players purchase an adventure pack, they will receive exclusive in-game items which can be deployed when encountering boss-level enemies. $MGOD holders will get to contribute to the game’s development, for example, the power to vote on which realms will be released first.
$RELIC Token — The In-Game Token
$Relic will facilitate access and point scoring in the game itself, for example, to enter dungeons, purchase and upgrade weapons and armor, as well as in-game consumables. Staking $MGOD will enable players to receive additional tokens as rewards in the staking pool. All assets can be traded within the game as well on secondary markets.
